30-year-old engineer found dead at his Tarsali home in Gujarat, probe underway

VADODARA: A 30-year-old engineer who worked for a major conglomerate hanged himself at his house in the Tarsali area of the city on Wednesday night.

According to police officials, Nirav Vichare went to work on Wednesday and returned home late in the evening. Once home, he went into his room. Members of the family got concerned when he remained inside the room for a long time and on going in, they found him hanged.

A police team went to the spot and began an investigation. Sources in the police said no suicide note was recovered from the room, and the reason for Vichare's action is yet to be ascertained.

According to investigators, Vichare's family told the police they were unaware of any reason that could have led him to take such a step. They said he did not show any unusual behaviour. Vichare, who was unmarried, never said he was facing any trouble.

The body was sent for a postmortem and an unnatural death case was registered. Family members said he had gone on a trip a few days ago. Investigators are also speaking to his acquaintances as part of the inquiry. His mobile phone will also be examined.
