Cyclist on mission to save water

VADODARA: A young

cyclist

from Manipur who is on a mission to spread awareness

to save water

reached Vadodara where he interacted with students and teachers of M S University campus on Saturday.


Philem Rohan Singh, who has been riding from a very young age has cycled up to 1,000-2,000 km. This time, however, he has embarked on a cycling tour from Kashmir to Kanyakumari covering a vast stretch of the country.

Philem who interacted with students of Faculty of Arts, said he had started the solo cycling tour from Kashmir on June 13. The theme of the cycling tour is to spread message of “water for life” and “save water”, he added.

At MSU campus, the cyclist’s further journey was flagged off for Surat. The 24-year-old had last year embarked on a similar tour from national capital Delhi to Imphal in Manipur to raise awareness about the country’s air pollution crisis.
