Udaipur lawyers’ stir continues

Udaipur: Lawyers of Bar association of Udaipur continued their strike and boycotted judicial work for fifth consecutive day on Friday. They have been demanding a High Court bench in Udaipur. On Friday, no judicial work including appearance and hearing was carried out in courts. District convenor of the HC bench sangharsh committee, Dr Bharat Singh Rao, said that the demand for an HC bench in Mewar-Wagad has been pending for four decades. Bar Association President Bharat Joshi said that soon a delegation will meet Union law minister Arjun Meghwal and if no concrete assurance is received from there, then the protest will continue by boycotting judicial work. tnn
