Two engineering students drown in waterfall

Udaipur: Two engineering students out on a picnic died when they drowned at Padajhar waterfall in Rawatbhata (Chittorgarh) on Saturday morning. They were among a group of 20 students of Kota-based Rajasthan Technical University that had come to the waterfall. The two students were identified as Saurabh Siyag, a native of Jhunjhunu, and Lakshya Chhaparwal, a native of Sikar. Rawatbhata deputy SP Prabhu Lal said that police carry out regular patrolling at the spot to prevent any mishap but because of Moharram duty, there was no police patrol at the spot today. Sister ends life on hearing of brother’s drwoning: A 19-year-old boy who had gone to a rain-fed river near his village in Bikaner district drowned after the ground he was standing on caved in. After his body was fished out, his 22-year-old sister committed suicide by jumping into a water body near her house. TNN
