‘Tamilisai Peragarathi’, CD released
Madurai: A book on the evolution of 100 panns in Tamil over 200 years, ‘Tamilisai Peragarathi (Pann Kalanjiyam)’, was released on Monday at Thiagarajar College in Teppakulam, Madurai.
The book was authored by Tamil music researcher Mammadhu N. A
During the book release, K Pandiarajan said that youngsters must play a role in celebrating and rejuvenating the culture of Tamil music. TNN
CD
was also prepared, which had a collection of the Tamil songs that incorporated the 100 panns. The book and CD were released in the presence of K Pandiarajan, minister for Tamil official language and Tamil culture, Sellur K Raju, minister for co-operation, statistics and ex-servicemen welfare, and R B Udhayakumar, minister for revenue and disaster management and information technology.During the book release, K Pandiarajan said that youngsters must play a role in celebrating and rejuvenating the culture of Tamil music.
