THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A
Congress screening committee tasked with picking candidates for Lok Sabha seats in
Kerala has recommended to the high command that all 15 sitting MPs, including
Rahul Gandhi, be fielded in their respective constituencies.
KPCC urged Rahul to seek re-election from Wayanad and left it to central leadership to decide whether AICC general secretary K C Venugopal should contest the Alappuzha seat.
A decision on the candidates will be taken at the central election committee's meeting slated for March 2 in New Delhi. Poll strategist Sunil Kanugolu's report rating individual performances will be considered while deciding whether to give tickets to all 15 sitting MPs of Congress, sources said.
