Thiruvananthapuram: Eat Right Cookery Contest on Monday

The cookery contest is held as part of the food safety department’s week-long celebrations which will begin on June 1. The department has planned district and state-level programmes. The cookery contest will be held in five categories for school/college students, government employees, NGO/Kudumbashree members, food business operators and homemakers.
Maximum four teams, each having two members, can compete under each category. Prizes will be distributed at the valedictory function to be held at VJT Hall on June 7.
Excise commissioner Rishi Raj Singh will lead an awareness session against drug use. A drama by excise department, to create awareness about harms of drugs use, too will be staged.
Application forms for the contest are available at www.foodsafety.kerala.gov.in. Applications must be send via email before 5pm on June 1. Email ID is foodsafetykerala@gmail.com. For details, contact 0471-2322833/8943346577.
