Thane: Youth kills dog for biting him in Dombivli

KALYAN: A youth has been arrested for allegedly killing a

dog

named '

Sheru

' who bit him in

Dombivli

.

The arrested accused is identified as Ajay Magar.

The dog belonged to Kopar-based Ajay Naidu, who works as care taker of

KDMC

run Meenatai garden in Dombivli.

Naidu has been taking care of Meenatai garded for 4 years.

He kept Sheru so that no one could enter the garden when it was closed for public.

On February 19, Magar was drunk and he tried to enter the garden when it was closed. Naidu warned him but he didn't listen and entered the garden by jumping the wall. Sheru then bit Magar's hand.

Magar was admitted to KDMC run

Shastri Nagar

hospital for treatment.

Naidu told police in his complaint that when he was taking Magar to the hospital he threatened to kill his dog.

After 2 days, Sheru got missing.

When Naidu started searching for Sheru, someone told him that his body was dumped in a

garbage bin

.

Naidu said after seeing Sheru's dead body lying in garbage bin, approached the police who finally after registering an FIR on Wednesday arrested him under animal cruelty related act.
