THANE: The body of a 70-year-old senior citizen from Mulund was found in a Thane lake in Maharashtra on Thursday morning, civic officials said.
Yasin Tadvi, in-charge of the Thane regional disaster management cell, said they were alerted about a man lying unconscious along the Rayladevi lake bank in Wagle Estate, around 8.30 am.
A team of fire brigade personnel and RDMC rushed to the spot and brought the man outside the water and rushed him to the hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased has been identified as Arvind Murudkar, a resident of Vishwakarma Marg, and a case of accidental death is being registered by the Thane police, he said.
