Following a tipoff, a joint team from crime branch unit-V Wagle Estate and unit-II Bhiwandi swooped down on the revellers - mostly students and call centre employees - around 3am.

"The guests had allegedly consumed drugs and intoxicants at the illegally organised party. We seized small quantities of LSD, charas, ecstasy pills and several motorbikes from the spot, collectively valued at Rs 8 lakh," said DCP (crime) Shivraj Patil. The organisers - Tejas Kubal (23) and Sujal Mahajan (19) - and the 95 guests were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and the Maharashtra Prohibition Act.

While the revellers were sent for medical examination, issued notices and released, the two organisers were arrested. They will be presented before the local magistrate's court on Monday.

Kubal and Mahajan had posted an invite for the party on social media, which drew youngsters from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane, Mira-Bhayander, said Patil. The access fee ranged between Rs 500 and Rs 1,000.

Vikas Ghodke, senior inspector of Thane crime branch unit-V, said the organisers had alerted their regular patrons on social media hours before the event following which they were asked to make payments and updated about the venue. The police sent a decoy customer and once confirmed, conducted the raid.
