ULHASNAGAR: More than 20,000 units of blood were collected during nationwide blood donation camps organised at over 250 camps across the country by the All India Mobile Retailers Association (AIMRA).

Besides the members of the AIMRA, the drive is made successful with the association of licensed blood banks like Lions Club, Rotary, Indian Red Cross Society, private and government hospitals & NGOs.
The camp was organised in remembrance of Late Bhavesh Solanki (National General Secretary of AIMRA), as well as to motivate the people to donate blood.
In the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) area, camps were organised at 10 locations in which 1,044 units of blood units were collected — Thane 231, Ulhasnagar 147, Kandivali, 89, Malad 106, Ghatkopar 62, Chembur 22, Alibaug 105, Bhiwandi 100, Bhayandar,101 and Navi Mumbai 81 units.
AIMRA's Chairman Kailash Lakhyani, National President Arvinder Khurana, Senior Vice President Vibhooti Prasad, and Joint General Secretary Navneet Pathak have unanimously announced this drive as a recurring event to be organised every year on June 17, as a collective effort of social service and saving lives.
