Punjab and Haryana continue to experience below-normal minimum temperatures, with Amritsar recording 5.5°C, Ludhiana at 6.9°C, and Patiala at 5.6°C, according to the MeT department.

Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Kashmir are grappling with adverse weather conditions, including heavy snowfall and rain, leading to road closures and disruptions in normal life across these regions.

In Kashmir Valley, snowfall disrupted normal life on Sunday, leading to the cancellation of all flights at Srinagar airport. Moderate snowfall occurred in the plains, while heavy snowfall was reported in higher reaches.

The adverse weather conditions in these regions have affected transportation, daily life, and tourism, with an increase in tourist influx in areas expecting snowfall.

Himachal Pradesh experienced continuous snowfall and rains, leading to the closure of 645 roads, including four national highways.

The Shimla witnessed the closure of 242 roads, and other affected areas include Lahaul and Spiti (157 roads), Kullu (93 roads), Chamba (61 roads), and Mandi district (51 roads).

Parts of Uttarakhand received a fresh round of snow and rainfall since Saturday night, offering respite from the prevailing dry spell and bringing down temperatures across the region. The overcast conditions accompanied by a drizzle on Sunday also led to a surge in tourist influx to Mussoorie and its vicinity as visitors were hopeful of a fresh bout of snowfall.
