: Taxis are back on the streets of

Meghalaya

as the state government decided to cut fuel prices by Rs 5 per litre by reducing VAT.


This comes after the indefinite strike called by commercial vehicle drivers under the banner of the Meghalaya Joint Action Committee of Commercial Vehicles was withdrawn.

Petrol in Meghalaya now costs Rs 85.86 per litre and diesel costs Rs 79.13 per litre.
