Congress party members trekked from Sonprayag to Kedarnath, concluding their Kedarnath Pratistha Raksha Yatra with a ceremony at Bhairav Temple. State chief Karan Mahara criticized the BJP government for neglecting traditions and religious values. The yatra began on July 24 but was halted on August 2 due to landslides affecting the route.
