Indian Air Force unveils new ensign at annual day parade

The Indian Air Force (IAF) unveiled their new flag during the annual day parade and flypast at Air Force Station Bamrauli. The new flag features the IAF Crest positioned in the upper right corner with the national symbol, the Ashoka Lion, and the words "Satyamev Jayate" below it. The parade was led by Group Captain Shaliza Dhami, the first woman officer to command an IAF combat unit. The previous flag will now be exhibited at the Air Force Museum.

Air Force Family Welfare Assn day celebrated

The Air Force Family Welfare Association (AFFWA) Day was celebrated in Kanpur with various activities and competitions. These included a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a cycle race for kids, a saree walkathon for women, and a traditional dress walkathon for air warriors. Around 400 air warriors participated in the event, and winners were awarded by the president of AFFWA. In other news, new air monitoring stations are being installed in Gurgaon and Faridabad to track air quality, the BMC in Mumbai has issued guidelines to control pollution from construction activities, and the Indian Air Force successfully evacuated a critical patient in Himachal Pradesh.

Sacrifices of Diwan Singh remembered

A symposium titled "Cellular (Kalepani) Jail: Experiential Narratives" was organized by a memorial trust formed in honor of Dr. Diwan Singh. The event highlighted the role of Punjabis in India's freedom struggle. Dr. Singh, who was tortured for 82 days by the Japanese, achieved martyrdom on the 83rd day in the dreaded jail. The trust has also set up a museum in his memory. In another news, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to freedom fighter Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary, acknowledging his sacrifice and dedication to India's freedom.
