East Khasi Hills bans illegal collection of funds

Shillong: The East Khasi Hills district administration has issued an order prohibiting unauthorised collection of money from commercial and other establishments in the district.The deputy commissioner has also urged all shopkeepers to install CCTVs on their premises. “Immediate legal action shall follow on any report or detection to this effect,” deputy commissioner R M Kurbah said in her order issued on Friday.“Shop owners have been directed to install CCTVs on their premises in appropriate locations for ensuring safety and security and also for due coverage of illegal activities on their respective premises,” the order stated.According to the order, there are reports of unauthorised collection from shop owners, business and commercial establishments under the pretence of donations or serving demand notes which have caused great inconvenience to the owner of those commercial establishments and have also created a fear psychosis in general.

Foundation stone laid for establishing international Gurukul school in Tirupati district

An international school belonging to the Swami Narayan order is coming up near the temple city of Tirupati in Srikalahasti constituency. The school campus will offer education from kindergarten to intermediate (XII class) and will feature hostels, indoor stadium, outdoor playground, dining hall, digital library, computer lab, maths lab, activities room, art & craft room, and an open-air theatre. Sri Swami Narayan Gurukul trusts international head Mahant Sadhu Devprasad Das and other monks participated in the Bhumi Puja for the school. Srikalahasti legislator Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy thanked Chief Minister Jagan for the initiative.

Dattatreya Hosabale, the general secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, emphasized the importance of establishing religion without violence.
