Salem district has 27,55,830 registered voters

SALEM: Salem districts, which has 11 assembly constituencies, has 27,55,830 registered voters, as per the final electoral roll released by collector R Brindha Devi on Monday. There are 13,70,962 male voters, 13,84,548 female voters and 320 transgender people on the final list.

Brindha Devi said 1,18,166 new voters were added to the final electoral list after special camps had been held between Dec 19, 2025 and Feb 10, 2026. "We have removed 30,444 voters from the list," she added, noting that among the new voters, 62,021 were first-time voters aged 18 and 19 years.

The district collector appealed to the public to check the final list at polling stations (schools), post offices and the district collectorate office. Voters could obtain forms for additions, deletions and modifications at these locations. Corrections could also be made through the voters.eci.gov.in website or the voter helpline app.

In Erode district, the final list has a total of 17,40,222 voters, including 8,38,466 males, 9,01,574 females and 182 transgender individuals.

In Dharmapuri district, the final list has 12,40,108 voters, including with 6,24,647 males, 6,15,311 females and 150 transgender people.

In Krishnagiri district, there are a total of 15,54,040 voters, including 7,76,318 males, 7,77,458 females and 264 transgender people.

In Namakkal district, there are 13,10,951 voters. They include 6,35,299 males, 6,75,452 females and 200 transgender individuals.
