RU team qualifies for inter-varsity national quiz

Ranchi: The University of Ranchi bagged the third position in the 36th East Zone Inter-University Festival organised at Kirti Utsav in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha, and has been selected for the final.In a statement, the university said its team of Yuvraj Prasad, Akash Kumar and Akash Kumar Jha had made it proud by winning the third position in the quiz competition. Smriti Singh, an official of the university said the trio will now take part in the final which will be held in Bengaluru. She added, “Our team was selected for the zonal level in a written quiz competition held in the first round. A 45-member team is in Bhubaneshwar to take part in various events, including theatre and western solo songs. The festival is being conducted after a gap of two years due to the Covid pandemic.” TNN
