RANCHI: Despite being incarcerated,
RJD president Lalu Prasad
has managed to handle political affairs quite easily from the comforts of his paying ward at Rims. Though his family members and party leaders are allowed to meet him only once a week on Saturdays, this jail rule has apparently been ignored.
On Monday, just two days after a joint team of police and jail officials conducted a surprise inspection of his ward, he met his party's Bahadurpur MLA Bhola Yadav, party MLC from Ara Ranvijay Singh and his lawyer Prabhat Kumar at his ward in Rims. Jail IG Birendar Bhushan said no one had sought permission from the jail authorities to meet Lalu on Monday.
