Ramgarh Police Arrest Six, Detain Juvenile in Plot to Commit Crime; Firearms Seized

Ramgarh: Six miscreants were arrested and a juvenile detained allegedly while they were planning to commit a crime. Sophisticated firearms and ammunition were seized from them, police said.

The arrested have been identified as Bittu Kumar Ravi (33) from Tandwa in Chatra, Vikas Sao (25) and Vishal Kumar (19), Hiralal Kumar (22), Digambar Prajapati alias Degan (32), and Ahtesham Ansari (19), from Patratu in Ramgarh. A minor was also detained.

Ramgarh SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat said, “The accused have alleged links with the Rahul Dubey gang, notorious in coal and industrial regions. The arrested miscreants confessed their involvement in firing incidents at a railway flyover construction site, a dairy farm, and a major cement factory in Patratu.”

Further investigation is underway, police said.
