JAMSHEDPUR: The president of Congress’s Adityapur town committee, Santosh Singh, has threatened to launch a protest march if the Seraikela-Kharsawan police fail to arrest the killers of businessman Kanhaiya Singh, who was murdered earlier this week, by Sunday. Kanhaiya, whose brother-in-law Arvind Singh is a BJP leader and was an MLA from Ichagarh, was shot dead at his home in Hari Om Nagar on Wednesday by three unidentified men.

On Saturday, Santosh said, “The party workers will take out a protest march from JIADA ground to Adityapur police station on Sunday, if the police fail to crack the case by tomorrow morning. The workers will stage a demonstration in front of the police station.”

Seraikela SDPO Harvinder Singh said that though they have not arrested anybody yet, a few persons have been taken into custody for questioning.
