KODERMA: Voting in Koderma, part of Koderma parliamentary seat, was conducted peacefully on Monday. The voting percentage remained at 60.72%. The fate of 15 candidates will now be decided on June 4.

The trend of voting indicated a tough contest between BJP's Annapurna Devi and Vinod Singh of the INDIA bloc.

The reputation of Annapurna Devi, the sitting MP, is at stake. Annapurna had won the Koderma Lok Sabha seat by defeating Babulal Marandi of JVM-P over more than 4.5 lakh votes in the last Lok Sabha election in 2019.

However, Annapurna looked confident of her victory, after casting her vote at Charadih. She said, "The people have voted to make Narendra Modi the prime Minister for the third consecutive time. My victory will be by a huge margin."
