Hazaribag BJP Leaders Manish Jaiswal & Pradeep Prasad Resolve Cricket Match Dispute
Hazaribag: The public spat between BJP MP Manish Jaiswal and the party’s Sadar legislator Pradeep Prasad over invitation to a cricket match last week ended on Tuesday with both announcing that their differences had been resolved and there was no longer any misunderstanding.
Addressing a joint press conference in the presence of district BJP president Vivekanand Singh, Jaiswal and Prasad said that all misunderstandings had been settled.
The rift surfaced following a controversy surrounding a cricket match in Hazaribag. Prasad, upset over not being invited for the match, reached the stadium and publicly reprimanded office-bearers of the Hazaribag District Cricket Association (HDCA). The incident escalated after Jaiswal, chairman of the association, called the MLA “unruly” and said he will not “bow before” him. Prasad hit back comparing the MP to “Dhritarashtra”.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Singh said the BJP had organised a two-day training camp for party workers at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir in Kumhartoli area of the city, where both the MP and MLA interacted and cleared their misunderstandings.
Prasad said those responsible for creating misunderstandings between them had been identified and all issues, including the cricket-related controversy, had now been settled.
