Dumka: Acting on a tip-off, Godda police arrested three persons and seized 2.78 grams of brown sugar during a raid near Pratappur Hatiya under Motiya OP limits late on Monday. Addressing media on Tuesday, Godda SP Mukesh Kumar said that a group had gathered under a banyan tree on Monday on the Khatnai–Pratappur Hatiya–Amadakamat road to consume and sell the narcotic.
A raiding team led by DSP Akash Bhardwaj conducted searches around Khatnai Shiv Temple and Pratappur Hatiya and nabbed three suspects. “The arrested individuals are Satyajit Paswan (19), Gaurav Kumar (22) and Balamukund Sah (40), all residents of Khatnai village,” the DSP said on Tuesday adding that the trio have been remanded to judicial custody.
