Woman murdered in Eluru district

RAJAHMUNDRY: A married woman was murdered in Kotha Ramayya Peta village under Polavaram mandal in Eluru district. Unidendified miscreants slit her throat with a knife.

According to Polavaram Sub-Inspector Pavan Kumar, one Meduri Durga (38) was an agricultural worker and she takes other women to works to other villages. She paid amount to some of the workers on Sunday and kept the remaining money in the house. When her husband and son returned to home on Sunday night, they have found Durga dead in a pool of blood. Polavaram DSP, N Suresh Kumar along with his staff rushed to the spot amd the family members have told the police that Rs One lakh was missing from the house.

The police are suspecting that this is the handiwork of known persons and brought clues teams, dog squad and forensic experts from Eluru. The dog was wandering in the mango plantation which is nearby her house.
