Visually-impaired boy stands 3rd in national level Sabal Award event in Jamashedpur

RAIPUR: Raghunath Nag, a visually-impaired tribal boy from Sonakukanar a remote village of naxal-hit Sukma district, has brought laurels for the state by bagging the third position in the national level Sabal Award held at Jamshedpur.

Sukma District Collector Haris.S told TOI that Raghunath is in Class 10 and pursuing his study staying at District Disability Rehabilitation Centre here.

Raghunath is fully visually impaired, but he is a talented singer.

A trainer is there at the centre to teach music to Raghunath, said the Collector while congratulating him for this achievement.

Raghunath’s spirit and lifestyle are inspiring and he can also play the harmonium quite well, said the Collector.
