Raipur
:
Chhattisgarh
chief minister
Bhupesh Baghel said as the cases seem to rise in Delhi and other states, Chhattisgarh is ready to take necessary action. He said, "We were thinking that the third wave of
Corona
was over, but now we cannot lower the guard as covid infection cases are rising in some states. We are prepared to take appropriate steps whenever required."
He has also hinted towards the possibility of imposing fresh restrictions if required in the state as Covid cases rise. According to health officials, the weekly rate of corona infections in the state is below one percent. However, if the infection rate exceeds one percent, it will be alarming. In such situations, covid guidelines have to be enforced strictly. People need to be more vigilant. The spread can only be prevented if covid appropriate behaviour is followed including wearing masks, maintaining social distance and avoiding crowded spaces.
In Chhattisgarh, new cases of Corona have reduced significantly for the last one-and-a-half months. No patient has died during the last 40 days. Restrictions in the state were removed as covid infections declined but if the infection rate increases, the restrictions will be implemented again, officials said. TNN
