RAIPUR: A
Armyman
committed suicide after he allegedly murdered his newly-wed wife in
Janjgir-Champa
district in the wee hours of Friday. Police have also recovered a suicide note from the spot.
Body of 21-year-old Akash Singh was found on the railway tracks in
Akaltara
and his wife
Nikita Singh's body was recovered from their home in
Pamgarh
region.
Akash, who recently got married in May, took leave from work. He was at home when he had an argument with wife. Police said Akash strangulated his wife and left her body in bathroom before ending his life. He went to Akaltara railway station and jumped in front of a goods wagon at platform number 2. In suicide note, Akash stated that he took the extreme step as he couldn't spend time with wife and family as he was duty bound and hardly got leave. tnn
