CM unveils Lord Ram’s statue in Mukundpur

Raipur: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday unveiled the grand statue of lord Ram built under Ramayana Mahotsav and Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit, at Nagri-Sihawa in Mukundpur.
He also inaugurated development work worth Rs 8.29 crore. Speaking in local dialect, the CM said that Chhattisgarh government is developing the route as tourism circuit which Lord Ram had crossed and stayed during his exile days. The responsibility of this project has been given to minister Tamradwaj Sahu and tourism department.
Due to covid 19, the project got bit delayed, he said, adding that after the first inauguration of Lord Ram’s statue at Chandkhuri Mata Kaushalya temple, new temples and statues were inaugurated at Shivrinarayan, Rajim, Ramgarh, Champaran and now at Sihava.
“The work is continuously on and Ramayan Mahotsav was also organized in Raigarh, which was the first in India,” he said. tnn
