Calling armed Naxals ‘brothers’ an insult to soldiers & nation, says Baghel
Raipur: Congress national general secretary and former CM Bhupesh Baghel strongly criticised Amit Shah's remarks referring to armed Maoists as "brothers," stating that such comments are an insult to the brave security personnel, the people of Chhattisgarh, and the nation. "Those cowards who shed the blood of countless innocents and martyred our jawans cannot be addressed as ‘brothers'," the party said in a sharp statement. Baghel asserted that the terms ‘Naxal' and ‘brother' cannot coexist, emphasising that as long as individuals do not believe in democracy or the Constitution, they are only Naxals. "No Naxal can be considered a brother before surrendering and joining the mainstream," he said. Baghel also demanded that the person who made the remark apologise to the nation. tnn
