Student requests classmate to share her notes, gets a thrashing
Pune: The Kothrud police on Thursday registered a case against four men for beating up a 26-year-old man, for allegedly sending text messages to his woman classmate.
The assault took place near Shila Vihar Colony on Paud Road on Wednesday evening. The victim suffered head injuries in the attack after one of the accused assaulted him with a cricket stump. He lodged a complaint with the police on Thursday.
An officer from the Kothrud police said that the complainant is a resident of Wagholi and comes to Kothrud to attend cyber security classes. He texted his classmate asking her to share her notes with him.
“On Wednesday evening, she called him out of the class where he was beaten up. One of the accused hit him on his head with a cricket stump,” the officer said. When his friend tried to intervene, the accused assaulted him, too, and fled the spot.“We have registered a case and are looking for all four,” the officer said.
