Police invoke MCOCA against 2 more gangs

Pune: The Pimpri Chinchwad police on Tuesday booked two more gangs under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), taking the total to 18 in the past six months.
The gangs booked on Tuesday are from Talegaon and Ravet. Jay alais Kitak Bhalerao (19) is the alleged kingpin of the Talegaon Dabhade-based gang. Bhalerao and his five accomplices have 13 cases, including attempt to murder and dacoity, registered against them. In Ravet, Rama Patil (29), alleged kingpin and his accomplices have nine cases of bodily offences, extortion, robberies against them.TNN
