Mohite Patil to join party on April 16

Pune: NCP (SCP) leader Sharad Pawar on Thursday announced that BJP leader Dhairyasheel Mohite Patil will join his party on April 16. He is likely to contest from Madha seat on an NCP (SCP) ticket.

“The situation in Maharashtra is changing every day as many leaders want to join us to work for society. We have not offered any seat to those who join us. They want to work with us,” Pawar said. On Eknath Khadse returning to the BJP, Pawar said, “He is facing inquiries and restrictions have been imposed on his properties. We will not misunderstand if he goes where he gets relief.”

He took a dig at Ajit Pawar’s campaign for his wife Sunetra. He said there is an original Pawar (his daughter Supriya) and another (Sunetra) who’s come from outside. TNN
