Lalit Patil’s brother paid Nashik drug unit’s rent

Pune: Rent of the mephedrone processing unit at Shinde village in Nashik was paid by Bhushan Patil, brother of drug kingpin Lalit Patil.
The mephedrone (MD) processing unit was set up in the name of the fourteenth arrested suspect Samadhan Kamble (35) of Nashik.

ACP (crime) Sunil Tambe said, “Sakinaka police of Mumbai bust the MD unit set up at the behest of the earlier arrested suspects Bhushan Patil and his aide Abhishek Balkawade in Kamble’s name.”
He said, “During questioning, Kamble told the police that the unit was opened in December 2022. The rent was paid to the property owner by Bhushan in the unit’s name.” Kamble admitted that the documents to open the unit were in his name.
Earlier, a special court sent Kamble to judicial custody remand for 14 days.
