PALGHAR: At least five people sustained injuries when a private bus carrying 36 passengers from Mumbai to Gujarat overturned on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway in Palghar district, Maharashtra. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, near Kajli village, according to an official from Talasari police station.
The cause of the accident was attributed to a punctured tyre, which led to the bus overturning on the highway. As a result, five passengers sustained injuries and were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Among the injured, three individuals who were in critical condition were subsequently transferred to a hospital in Bhilad, Gujarat, for further treatment.
The police are currently investigating the incident and gathering more information from the passengers and the bus driver to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
