The anti-organised crime cell of the city police on Friday arrested 14 persons, who had gathered near the Shivajinagar court for allegedly pressurising the complainant and witnesses in a court case.

PUNE: The anti-organised crime cell of the city police on Friday arrested 14 persons, who had gathered near the Shivajinagar court for allegedly pressurising the complainant and witnesses in a court case. Acting on a tip-off, the police team led by inspector Dattatreya Temghare laid a trap and arrested the suspect from near gate no. 4 of the Shivajinagar court.

"They had come to the court to pressurise the witnesses to change their statement in a 2007 murder case registered at Faraskhana police station," Temghare said.
The suspects have been identified as Sanjay Warbhuvan, Aakash Shinde, Ajay Khude, Tushar Kamble, Moreshwar Dodake, Milind Kadam, Ravindra Kanade, Sameer Bade, Mayur Matre, Mohan Jadhav, Vinod Bansode, Bala Oswal, Ajay Shinde and Sagar Papal. A case in this regard has been registered at Shivajinagar police station. Sub-inceptor R S Karpe is investigating further.
