‘Use education to build one’s character’

PATNA: A daylong orientation programme was organized for third-year students of

St Xavier’s College of Management and Technology

in Patna on Monday.

Addressing the students, college rector Fr Joseph Thadavanal SJ said, “Students should develop skills that enhance chances of employability.”

Counsellor Paromita Saha asked the students to remain focused and motivated in order to achieve their goals.

College principal Fr T Nishaant SJ pointed out, “Education does not refer to mere degrees and certificates. It should rather be used as a tool to build one’s character. We should all try to become good citizens of the country proud.”

Vice-principal Fr Martin Poras SJ and controller of exams, Fr Sebastian Alphones SJ, also spoke on the occasion. Sakshi Emmanuel, Alpesh Gaurav and Tanushree proposed the vote of thanks.

A N College: A seminar on ‘Live your Dream: No Compromise’ was organized on Anugrah Narayan College campus on Monday.

College principal Shashi Pratap Shahi, faculty members and students attended the event.
