Two passengers stabbed to death in separate loot incidents near Patna Junction
PATNA: Unidentified criminals stabbed to death two railway passengers while injured another during two separate loot incidents in the state capital on wee hours of Tuesday.

Superintendent of rail police (SRP), Patna, Ashok Kumar Singh said that stab marks on both bodies were of similar nature and the circumstances under which the unidentified body was recovered, indicates he tried to take shelter after getting stabbed or his body was hidden inside by criminals.

“Government rail police (GRP) strongly suspects that the unidentified body recovered from women’s coach had also fell prey to the criminal gang which attacked Rudal and Rambhu,” he said.
“The passenger went to yard at around 1.30am which is also at the same location where the duo were attacked and looted of money. A railway ticket was also recovered from the unidentified body,” he said.
The SRP said that the altogether Rs 22,000 were looted during the first incident.
“Crimimals looted Rs 11,000 each from Rudal and Rambhu. They stabbed when he resisted the loot incident,” SRP Singh said quoting injured Rambhu’s statement. He said both had planned to catch Rajendra Nagar-Saharsa intercity express to reach their native village Chitti under Dhelarh police station area in Madhepura district.

The SRP said that at least six suspects including four who came out of jail on Monday, were detained from different locations for quizzing. Special cell of Patna police and forensic experts were also roped in to assist GRP in nabbing culprits.
