St Michael’s win T-20 tourney

The trophies and certificates were distributed by the chief guest of the event, Brother Satheesh K Don, principal, Loyola High School and guest of honour Eric de Rozario, vice-principal, Don Bosco Academy. Award ceremony: The annual award ceremony of Radiant International School was held on the school campus on Friday. Students were awarded for their extracurricular as well as their academic achievements. The ceremony was attended by 500 students and their parents. School patron Meena Singh, chairman Vishal Singh and principal Col Prem Prakash welcomed chief guest Sanjay Kumar, director, Bihar Skill Development Mission.
The school choir welcomed the guest with their melodious song which was followed by theme dance performance by tiny tots. The awards were given in various categories, like all-rounder, most disciplined, 100% attendance, scholar’s badge, best orator, achiever and other categories. The young learners were elated as they received awards. While addressing the gathering, Vishal Singh said, “The purpose of this programme is to recognise individual students who have made extraordinary contributions to our school.”
Seminar on Bapu: There is a strong need to include Gandhi’s philosophy and moral values in school curriculum, said vice chancellor of Magadh University Prof Qamar Ahsan at a seminar on ‘Champaran Satyagraha Aur
The seminar was presided over by secretary of Gandhi Sangrahalaya Dr Razi Ahmad. While addressing the gathering, he stressed on the need to follow in the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi. Dr Baban Singh, principal of the college, highlighted the contributions of Champaran satyagrah in freedom struggle. A brief presentation on the same was given by Ramesh Dixit, a Lucknow University teacher.

by seven wickets in the 17th Fr. Pedro Arrupe Memorial Inter-School Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament which concluded on Friday. Malay Raj of SMHS was declared man of the match. Vaibhav Vishal and Shivam Raj of SMHS bagged the trophies for best bowler and best wicket-keeper of the tournament, respectively, while Mohit of DAV BSEB was adjudged the best batsman of the tournament.
