Nitish’s Rajya Sabha move predetermined: Prashant Kishor
Buxar: Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Sunday said decision of CM Nitish Kumar to move to the Rajya Sabha was “predetermined”. “We have said from the beginning that this govt never received a genuine mandate. It was a manufactured mandate, not Nitish Kumar’s,” the Jan Suraaj founder said.
Kishor made the remarks after arriving in Buxar under the party’s ‘Bihar Navnirman Abhiyan’, where he held a meeting with senior leaders and organisational workers.
Taking a swipe at the ruling alliance, Kishor said Bihar might soon get a CM whose “remote control would be in Gujarat”.
On Jan Suraaj’s future strategy, Kishor said the people had chosen them to remain among the public. “We will continue to do politics on the streets. Whenever people face injustice or the govt acts unfairly, we will raise our voice strongly,” he said.
Kishor said after the election results, Jan Suraaj leaders had observed a one-day fast at Gandhi Bhitiharwa Ashram in West Champaran. At that time, the party had announced that the newly formed govt in Bihar would be given six months to fulfil its promises.
He said that under the ‘Bihar Navnirman Abhiyan’, Jan Suraaj workers would reach out to people door to door and place their views directly before the public.
Kishor added that he is visiting every district to reorganise the party structure so that the campaign can be run effectively over the next five years.
