“It has become clear to people that Narendra Modi govt is planning to change the Constitution and hence the ongoing Lok Sabha election is actually between the BJP and the citizens,” said Singh. He was speaking at Patna district workers’ meet, which was organised to prepare and create atmosphere in favour of the Patna Sahib Congress candidate, Anshul Avijit, who is the son of former Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar, and grandson of former deputy prime minister Jagjivan Ram.

Speaking on the occasion, Avijit said his only aim was to strengthen the Congress party in the constituency. “I am confident enough that this time we will defeat the BJP from Patna Sahib,” he said.

Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad Khan urged the workers to make people aware about the benefits of the party’s guarantees discussed in the manifesto.

MLC Prem Chandra Mishra, Shyam Sunder Singh Dheeraj, Rajesh Rathore and others, were also present on the occasion.
