Min: Bihar govt building an investor-friendly ecosystem
Patna: Bihar industries minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal on Sunday said his department was actively working towards building a robust, investor-friendly ecosystem through policy reforms, institutional support and administrative sensitivity. The Bihar govt has an unwavering commitment to making the state a preferred destination for investors, entrepreneurs and startups, he said.
Addressing the ‘Bihar @ 2047 Vision Conclave’ (Season 3) in Bengaluru, Jaiswal said the Bihar govt is taking concrete steps to ensure not only ‘ease of doing business’ but also ‘security of doing business’. In this direction, the formation of the Bihar Industrial Security Force (BISF), modelled on the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), is underway. “The objective of the BISF is to provide security to entrepreneurs, investors, and industrial establishments across Bihar, ensure institutional protection, and further strengthen confidence and stability in the industrial environment,” he said.
The minister expressed deep personal affinity while appreciating Vikas Vaibhav, IPS, chief patron of Let’s Inspire Bihar, saying that he considers Vaibhav like a brother. “In my experience as a politician and minister, about 80% of officers mainly live and work for themselves, while Vikas Vaibhav is among the rare people who live and work for society,” he added.
Speaking at the event, Vaibhav stressed the need to restore Bihar’s historical and cultural heritage by rising above caste, community, and religion. He underlined the importance of entrepreneurship, startups and collective citizen participation in building a developed Bihar. He also outlined upcoming initiatives, including the proposed Bihar Development Summit, 2026, in Hyderabad and New Delhi, urging widespread participation.
Baikunthpur MLA Mithilesh Tiwari highlighted the need for a strong industrial and skill development ecosystem in Bihar, describing the conclave as an effective platform connecting entrepreneurs, policy-makers, and investors. Dehri MLA Rajeev Ranjan Singh stressed the link between entrepreneurship, startups and curbing migration, noting that local opportunities are key to inclusive economic growth.
The conclave, organised under the aegis of The Oxford College of Science, Arts, Commerce and Management, saw participation from over 1,000 people from across India and abroad, including entrepreneurs, industry leaders, IT professionals, thinkers and startup representatives. Delegates from major Indian cities and countries, including the USA, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore attended the event.
