Patna: Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das will attend the state-level meeting of Bihar Teli Sahu Samaj (BTSS) at Shri Krishna Memorial Hall here on July 23. Informing this here on Sunday, former BJP minister Sunil Kumar Pintu said eminent persons belonging to the ‘Teli Sahu samaj’ in other parts of the country would also participate in the function.
Pintu was accompanied by National Commission for Women (NCW) member Sushma Sahu, who had headed the state BJP’s women’s wing Mahila Morcha before she was inducted into NCW.
The move is being seen by many as BJP’s move to mobilise the elected PRI representatives belonging to the Teli-Sahu caste. Pintu said the BTSS would collect the list of the BJP-sympathetic elected members of the three-tier PRIs who also belong to the ‘Teli Sahu samaj’. BTSS district heads participated in Sunday’s meet to chalk out the programme for July 23 state-level event.
