20 Biada-approved industrial projects to generate 2,300 jobs
Patna: Bihar’s industrial expansion received a fresh push after the project clearance committee of the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (Biada) approved 20 new industrial proposals involving an estimated investment of Rs 350 crore and the potential to generate around 2,300 jobs.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of industries department secretary-cum-BIADA and IDA managing director Kundan Kumar. The committee also allotted nearly 30 acres of land for setting up the approved units across different industrial areas of the state.
Officials said the approved projects span multiple sectors, including food processing, software development, PEB fabrication manufacturing, furniture manufacturing, PVC and UPVC pipe production, compressed biogas, healthcare and general manufacturing. The projects are expected to strengthen Bihar’s industrial ecosystem and expand economic activity across districts.
The units will come up in industrial areas including Kumarbagh, Begusarai, Hajipur, Patliputra, Bariyarpur and Sasaram. Officials said the distribution of projects across several industrial zones reflects the govt’s focus on balanced regional industrial growth.
Industries minister Shreyasi Singh said the approvals would provide fresh momentum to Bihar’s industrial and technological expansion. She said the projects are expected to create large-scale employment and skill-based opportunities for local youths while reinforcing the govt’s commitment to building an investor-friendly climate.
Kundan said the state govt remains focused on balanced and inclusive industrial development. He said Biada is allotting industrial land through transparent and time-bound procedures, while the govt is supporting investors through improved infrastructure, better connectivity, simplified processes and policy support.
Among the companies whose proposals received approval are Bharat GPS Bioenergy Pvt Ltd, Crispano Foods & Beverage Pvt Ltd, SP Institute of Workforce Development Pvt Ltd, Experia Prefaxo Pvt Ltd, Rayush Healthcare Pvt Ltd and Makhayo Foods Pvt Ltd.
Officials said the latest approvals are expected to accelerate industrial activity and create both employment and self-employment opportunities across Bihar.
