Two cops suspended for corruption

Noida: Two policemen were suspended on charges of corruption from Jewar police station on Monday night. Kiran S, SSP, GB Nagar, isued the orders of suspension and ordered an enquiry into the matter.

Kiran S said there was a complaint against the two policemen, sub-inspector Chandrapal Singh and head constable Madan Pal, at Jewar for allegedly attempting to extort money from some residents and threatening to frame them in a fake case. "As soon as we got this information, I called the local officers and asked them to enquire the matter. We issued their suspension letters with immediate effect," he said.
