Makhanlal Chaturvedi University student bags first prize in singing

(MCU) of journalism and communication bagged first prize in Hindustani light vocal category at

All India Postal Cultural meet

(AIPCM) 2016, held in Jaipur, Rajasthan from November 7 to November 11. She participated in senior category. The prize included gold medal and cash prize of Rs 15,000.

Talking about her success, Anwesha said, "The credit of my success goes to my teachers, my friends and specially to my parents who helped me at each step in my life." My parents never treated me like a girl. They always motivated me to do my best in my carrier, she added.

She has completed junior diploma in

Hindustani classical sangeet

from Prayag university, Allahabad. Previously, she secured 1st position in All India

Cultural meet

held in Cuttack, Guwahati, Baroda and Chennai respectively in classical music category.
