Science exhibition at St Lawrence High School
The primary section of St Lawrence High School and Junior College organised a science exhibition on March 7 in which students showcase creative models and projects. The event provided a platform for children to learn through hands-on activities and present their ideas with confidence.Students of grades I and II presented models on topics such as sources of water, types of plants, modes of transportation, different types of houses, and road safety rules. Meanwhile, Stds III and IV students displayed working models including the water cycle, human lungs, water filter, and states of matter. The exhibition received an enthusiastic response and proves to be a proud moment for teachers and parents, highlighting the curiosity and creativity of the young scientists.Girls' Day celebrations at Fravashi Academy Girls' Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Fravashi Academy on March 7 during a special assembly for Std I to IV. Students dress in pastel shades and fill the campus with colour and joy. The assembly included a speech highlighting the importance of Girls' Day, followed by a meaningful poem presented by students. A thought-provoking skit was organised on the theme ‘if there were no girls' .A special dance performance was presented by the boys from grades III and IV as a heartfelt tribute to girls. The celebration continued with engaging classroom activities. Students of classes I and II enjoy doll-making using craft paper, while those from classes III and IV participate in crown-making activities.New Era students take trip to a planetarium Students of Std III from New Era English School embarked on an educational field visit to the Yashwantrao Chavan Planetarium and Pramod Mahajan Garden to gain experiential learning beyond textbooks.At the planetarium, students attended an engaging show on space science. The dome theatre created a fascinating experience as children learned about the solar system, stars, constellations and space exploration. The informative session sparked curiosity and encouraged students to ask thoughtful questions.Later, the students took a leisurely walk around the garden, observing statues of animals and cartoon characters. During the visit, they also learned about the importance of conservation, the role of gardens in maintaining ecological balance, and the need to keep surroundings clean.
