MVA has finallised allocation of 225 seats: Patole
Nashik: Congress state president Nana Patole on Tuesday said MVA would contest all 288 constituencies in the Nov 20 state assembly polls and allocation for 225 seats among the alliance partners were finalised. The remaining 63 seats would be shared among the MVA partners at its meeting on Thursday, Patole said. He, however, did not divulge details about the seats Congress and other MVA partners would contest.
Congress's in-Charge for Maharashtra Ramesh Chennithala and Patole were in Nashik on Tuesday. Chennithala said mood of the voters in the state "is against Mahayuti govt" and claimed that MVA will form govt in Maharashtra after the assembly polls. "Mahayuti took a number of decisions ahead of the assembly polls for the lust of power. But these decisions will not be implemented as they lack financial provisions," said Chennithala.
When asked about the MVA's CM face for the polls, Patole said alliance's first priority "is to save Maharashtra by defeating Mahayuti...The decision about the CM will be taken after the polls".
