NASHIK: The district guardian minister Dada Bhuse has suggested the municipal corporation, Zilla Parishad and social welfare officers to ensure they run schemes wisely for the rehabilitation of people with disabilities.
After convening the meeting of the officials at collectorate the guardian minister Bhuse stressed on the need to ensure the departments stressed on the schemes that would promote the self reliance of the people with disability.
It may be noted that the civic bodies have to spend 5% of their funds on the welfare schemes for the people with disabilities.
The funds have to be spent on the schemes of individual benefits besides raising of the infrastructure for the same.
The minister also said that the Divyang Bhavan being constructed in Nashik city would soon be inaugurated.
The Divyang Bhavan will provide all the services for the people with disabilities under single roof and this will be a major milestone on the commitment of the for the development of people with disabilities
