Man gets 5 years RI for molesting sisters
Nagpur: Ad hoc district and sessions judge Shilpa Bais convicted Mohammad Ashfaque (49) in a case of molestation registered at Police Station Sadar.The court sentenced the accused to rigorous imprisonment of five years and a fine of Rs500 under Section 74 Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), with additional simple imprisonment of one month in default of fine. He was also sentenced to three years' rigorous imprisonment and two years' rigorous imprisonment along with fines of Rs500 each.The incident occurred on May 19, 2025, when the accused allegedly molested the complainant and her younger sister. Based on the complaint, a case was registered at Sadar Police station, and the accused was arrested the same day. Additional public prosecutor ML Senord appeared as govt prosecutor, while CR Thakur represented the accused.
